Things to Do in the Village
Beachfront – Enjoy the beautiful Atlantic Ocean with private beachfront parking. Our gated beachfront parking lot gives our Oceanside residents and visitors direct access to the beach. Also included at this site are outdoor showers and ladies and men’s restroom facilities. Please check with our Property Management Office for a keycard for access to the parking lot. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 to 5:00. For more information, call 843-650-4440.
The Conch Café – Relax with great food and beverage as you dine right on the beachfront overlooking some of the prettiest coastal scenery on the Grand Strand. The Conch Café has an extensive menu and is moderately priced. For more information, call 843-651-6556. The Conch Café opens daily at 11:00 a.m. for lunch and dinner.
Golf Carts – Ahh, imagine riding to and from the beach on a golf cart. Golf carts can be rented during your vacation. Daily and weekly packages are available. The golf cart rental area is located behind the Property Management Office on Oceanside Drive. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. For more information, call 843-650-4440.
The Hickory Grove Pool – Our large outdoor pool is located off Park Green. This particular amenity has been completely refurbished for 2011 and includes a spacious kiddie pool. Hours of operation are 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Outdoor grills are available for your use at this location.
The Oasis Pool – Had enough beach and sun? Our indoor swimming pool is located in the center section green area of Oceanside Village. This pool facility is ideal for year-round swimming and gives our guests another option in case of inclement weather. This pool also includes a kiddie pool for our smaller guests. Hours of operation are 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The Fitness Center – How about some exercise? We have a wonderful fitness center located in the Activities Center on Dipper. There are treadmills, a recumbent bike, an elliptical machine, free weights and other equipment designed to work every part of the body. Please check in with the Management Office for a pass to this facility. A nominal fee is charged. Hours of operation are 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Golf – Is golf just a game or your passion? Tupelo Bay Golf Center, located just west of Oceanside Village features an 18-hole executive golf course (Par 3’s and Par 4’s), a 9-hole pitch and putt course, and a full service driving range with turf and mat hitting stations. There’s something for the whole family and is even lighted for your evening enjoyment. Golf club rentals are available. Hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Discount coupons are available at the Rose Real Estate Sales and Rental Office.
Miniature Golf – WOW, playing golf under the falls or on top of a mountain! Sound scary? Not at Runaway Bay, which is just across the street! Enjoy 36 holes of Jamaican-style miniature golf at Runaway Bay. This is a favorite fun spot, day or night, enjoyed by all our guests. For information, call 843-215-1038.
Ice Cream Parlor – One scoop or two? Which will it be? Enjoy Blue Bunny ice cream at the Runaway Bay Ice Cream Parlor located at our miniature golf facility. A round of putt-putt is just not complete without ice cream and a short stint on one of the rockers.
The Grille – Enjoy hamburgers, hot dogs, and other sandwiches at our outdoor grill located at Tupelo Bay Golf Course directly across Business 17.
Tupelo Beach Express – For your convenience, we have a Shuttle Bus that makes stops throughout our Tupelo and Oceanside facilities. Check with Rose Real Estate for hours of operation and a map of the bus stops.
Sunday Morning Worship Services – Non-denominational Christian services are held each Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. at the Community Center on Dipper. Come as you are. We’re confident you will receive a blessing.
Playground – A fully equipped children’s playground is located in our green area next to the Community Center on Dipper. This is especially suited for children under 12.
Basketball Court – This is also located in our green area and is very popular, especially with our teenagers.
Tennis Courts – Tennis anyone? Two lighted tennis courts are available for your use day or night. The courts are next to the Community Center on Dipper. The key for access to the courts is available at the front gate Security Office upon presentation of a valid driver’s license.
The Community Library – The Millie Durgan community library is located in the Activities Center on Dipper. You will be amazed when you see the wide selection of books we have available for your reading pleasure. Hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. and Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Internet access is also available.
Baseball Field – Choose up teams and let’s play ball. Our baseball field is available for all to use and is located in the green area in the center of Oceanside Village.
Volleyball Court – This is next to the Community Center on Dipper. Balls are available from the Oceanside Village Property Management Office Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. A valid driver’s license must be presented to check out equipment. Fishing – Lake fishing is permitted in designated common areas, but not in front of residents’ homes. Fishermen are encouraged to throw all fish back into the lake.
Horseshoe Pits and Two Bocce Courts – Both of these amenities are located next to the Community Center on Dipper. Equipment is available for use from the front gate Security Office upon presentation of a valid driver’s license.
